It's Friday and I am going camping this weekend on the Delaware River with my friends from college. I am a little nervous. Okay, I reallllly nervous. We had a chain email going around all week about what food everyone is bringing etc...
There will be 15-20 guys and 10 girls. As a joke and to play up the fact none of us girls have ever camped before, we wrote e-mails asking questions like, "Does anyone have a surge protector for my flat iron?" We also made food requests to the guys who are mostly bringing it all, like whole wheat buns and veggie burgers. We did it as a joke to be total girlie girls and make the boys think they made a horrible mistake by inviting us but honestly, I really do want a veggie burger.
Since I work at Diet.com, you would think I would tell them or offer healthier alternatives, but I didn't. I mean one weekend is not going to kill me to eat a burger (well it might since it will be sitting in a cooler since this afternoon probably). But seriously, I've written about speaking up, and trying to get others to identify with the importance of eating healthy and not being ashamed of wanting healthier options. I guess I just didn't want to be a pain in the ass. Plain and simple, and I guess I'll have to deal with it.
We should be getting in some hiking, a few games, swimming etc, so I think I will be OK.
Since this is celebrity and diet blog, I suppose I'll give you all an update on what's going on...
Page Six in the New York Post is reporting that Nicole Richie is pregnant. I personally do not believe this rumor because she simply just looks too thin to even menstruate. But she is looking a little bit healthier in all honesty.
Angela Jolie is defending her boney little body again, blaming it on the death of her mother and stress attributed to it. She denies losing the weight to fit into a pair of skinny jeans. I actually believe her, but that doesn't mean I like her. She's traveling so much to 3rd world countries and sees an overwhelming amount of poverty. She probably just feels guilty eating when she knows there are starving children in Africa.
And lastly, you thought I could write a blog on this day June 15th, 2007 and not mention Jail Bait Paris Hilton? Apparently her medical condition that may have caused her to be released from jail earlier this week is because she has ADD. She is prescribed adderall and wasn't being given the proper dosage. She also has mild depression and claustrophobia. Seriously? You're in jail, it's called a punishment for a reason. You're not suppose to like it. Being mildly depressed is what is suppose to happen. Did you think jail would all of a sudden release all these hidden endorphins? Why am I writing about this? Well, you might remember a couple months ago, Nicole Richie's weight was blamed on her addiction to the pills. Apparently Richie's former stylist Rachel Zoe supplied them to her (or introduced not sure) as a means for weight loss. Once she dropped the pounds she just kept taking the addys. I mean does Paris Hilton really have ADD? She seems very shy and quiet compared to Nicole. Why is she taking the prescription and does she really need it?
